3RD AIRCRAFT INTERIORS MIDDLE EAST SHOW CONFIRMED FOR 2012

Dubai, UAE. 21 July 2010 – Dubai Airshow organiser F&E Aerospace has confirmed that the third Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) show will take place in Dubai from 1 to 2 February 2012.

The show comprises workshops and an exhibition which will be a platform for new design features, smart cabin fittings and the industry’s latest technological innovations.

Michele Van Akelijen, Event Director at F&E Aerospace, said: “With the order books of the region’s carriers being transformed into actual aircraft deliveries over the next couple of years, procurement departments are finalising their preferences for cabin interiors, specifically seats, inflight entertainment and galley equipment.

“The third running of AIME, therefore, comes at the right time, assisting airlines in making smart decisions on their cabin interiors to ensure a better travel experience for their customers.”

Order books were rapidly filled up over the two days of the last AIME show in February 2010 at Dubai’s Airport Expo.

Oman Air signed a contract with UAE-based Spatial Composite Solutions for two cabin evacuation trainers; Air Arabia signed a seven-year contract with Botany Weaving of Ireland for seat fabric, curtains and carpeting; and Arabia Jets of Saudi Arabia signed a contract with French aircraft livery designer Happy Design Studio to offer their clients customised liveries and visual identity.
