MIDDLE EAST BUSINESS AVIATION SHOW INVITES GULF VIPS & DIGNITARIES

MEBA coincides with Gulf Co-operation Council Summit in Abu Dhabi

Dubai, UAE. 20 July 2010 - Dubai Airshow organiser F&E Aerospace has invited the heads of state of the six Gulf Co-operation Council states and their delegations to attend the Middle East Business Aviation show (MEBA), taking place at Dubai’s Airport Expo from 7 to 9 December 2010.

The dignitaries are leading delegations to the GCC Summit in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, from 6 to 7 December 2010.

Alison Weller, Managing Director of F&E Aerospace, said: “The UAE’s hosting of the GCC Summit at the beginning of December presented us with the opportunity of extending invitations to the Gulf’s Heads of State to attend MEBA which is taking place just as the summit is concluded.

“We are hopeful that such prestigious delegations, which include important decision-makers, would consider MEBA as a suitable venue in which to view the very latest and best of the business aviation industry.”

Organised on behalf of the Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA), the last MEBA show in 2008 attracted some 250 exhibitors from 30 countries and over 5,500 visitors, netting more than US$1.5billion worth of deals.

With less than five months to go, MEBA 2010 is much farther ahead on bookings than at the same time before the previous show in 2008, and is now taking bookings and reservations on a first-come, first-served basis.

F&E Aerospace, which is taking bookings at its Farnborough stand, No.A4 in Hall 4, is offering a bottle of champagne to exhibitors who book space at the next Middle East Business Aviation show (MEBA 2010) in December or the Dubai Airshow in 2011, with the first exhibitor signing up for both receiving a magnum.

At the fourth running of MEBA, more than 70 business aircraft will be displayed on the outdoor static aircraft park, which will also feature more company pavilions than in previous shows, along with the hospitality chalets.

Exhibitors are coming from as far afield as the US, Brazil, Hong Kong and Europe, joining the region’s top aviation companies, including Dubai World Central-Aviation City, Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), Saudi Arabia’s MAZ Aviation, Lebanon’s Executive Airport Services (EAS), and Jordan’s Arab Wings.

The latest companies to sign up are Jet Services, Vipport and Neptune Aviation.

In a first for the region, MEBA will host the 2010 meeting in Dubai of the governing body of the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC), which is traditionally held in the US or Europe.
